This Encrusted In Shells Keepsake Storage Box is made out of sustainable and farmed natural bamboo and was pre-purchased from Beach and Beyond, and style designed with an Gorgeous arrangement of old shell beauties. These old shell beauties have been previously collected over the past 3 decades for the past 34 years, since the artist was the age of 4 years of age.
These old shell beauties where collected previously over the past 3 decades are none of the old shell beauties used in creating my She Shell Art creations are non endangered species of shells, non threaten species of shells including non exotic species of shells. All these old shell beauties where collected from being entangled in dry sea kelp and found embedded in the sand-dunes of Sandy Point Main Beach, Shallow Inlet and Walkerville all located down in South Gippsland, Victoria. I have also received old shell beauties from being kindly donated to me from local South Gippsland fisherman and family members and friends.
This Encrusted in Shells Box took me 9 weeks to complete and perfect and is a style statement piece pulled together with beach, tide and coastal finds.... overlapping and interweaving the way nature intended.
This piece photographed here is displayed at She Shell Art stall that I attended at Point Nepean National Park Portsea, The Quarantine Station on Easter Saturday March 26th, 2016.
